PROJECTS

Community Spaces

HerMoveMeant strongly believes in sharing forward the kindness and support we receive from our collaborators, donors and well wishers. We DREAM on expanding our work to groups that do not have access to these services either due to lack of exposure or financial limitations. We ACT upon our vision by connecting with various organisations, orphanages and communities in our country. We intend to make an IMPACT in the life of each individual we have the opportunity to connect with, by providing them with mental health support they seek.

Naari

'Naari' is a project curated specially for women, who come from challenging households. The purpose of this project is to offer a platform that supports the women to explore and gather emotional tools that help them empower themselves and conquer their circumstances. The idea is to reflect upon their strengths and help them build a strong foundation for themselves, through self-awareness and community building.

Woman Up!

"When women and girls arise, their communities and

their countries rise with them." - Michelle Obama

'Woman Up!' is our attempt at creating an open space for young girls, who wish to explore beyond their boundaries, expand their knowledge of self and embark on an empowering journey, for self. This project aims at providing young girls access to mental health wellness programs through expressive arts and other self-work tools. Our project has been associated with 3 different organisations, working with over 50 young girls over 3 different cities.

Quality Quarantine

To cope with the lockdown period during Covid-19, we offered 2 online pro-bono workshops:

#JournalYourJourney

Facilitators: Shivangi Lakhlani and  Tali Beja

15 minutes of InstaLive sessions: Yoga, Meditation, Dance/Movement Therapy, Dance routine and Motivation speaking, led by different professionals. Followed by expressive writing about their experiences of the same.

21 Days, 21 Tasks

Facilitators: Asha Ponikiewska and Shivangi Lakhlani

An open WhatsApp community group which help the group reflect within and cope with the lockdown period, by exploring different activities each day. They varied from expressive writing about experiences during the pandemic, to creating an artwork to express fear and grief, to exploring light at the end of the tunnel through movement. Along with the lockdown extension, the group eventually stayed in action for 40 days instead of 21.
